Recognize the Signs of Needing a Caregiver

Recognize the Signs of Needing a Caregiver

First, it is important to know what a caregiver is. A caregiver is an individual who regularly looks after a sick, elderly, or disabled person. Caregivers can be health professionals, family members, friends, social workers, or those from religious affiliations. This care can be given at home, in a hospital or other health care settings. It can be difficult to accept the fact that a loved one, or possibly you, need assistance. It is important to acknowledge the signs to protect you and those you love. Caregivers make life more manageable, enjoyable, and healthy.

Recognize the Signs.

Forgetfulness- A sign you or a loved one needs personal care can be an overall feeling of forgetfulness and confusion. This can create many other issues such as missing medications, doctors’ appointments, forgetting to pay bills, noticing mail pile up, a neglected household, and overlooking general safety concerns. Wandering is one of the most noticeable signs of forgetfulness.

Loneliness and/or Depression- A lack of interest and a feeling of loneliness can be helped by gaining a caregiver. Frustrations, social avoidance, and lack of energy affect lifestyles significantly. Changes in personality can be a sign of depression. Changes in appearance such as weight gain or loss, lack of effort, or any other drastic changes can also be sign.

Medical Issues Arise- Life can be made easier with a caregiver if there is a weekly/daily treatment needed, or if medical equipment is necessary to daily life. Some individuals notice signs of falling more often or bruising easily. New or worsening medical conditions should be monitored. If you or a loved one have weakened mobility, caregivers can be a necessary option for comfortable living.

Find a Caregiver.

There are many options in seeking a caregiver for you or your loved one. The first step is deciding whether home care or a living facility is the best option for your needs. There are many options for all types of care. E&S Home Care Solutions is based in New Jersey and can provide you with a Certified Home Health Aide for personalized in-home care. There are options worldwide depending on where you live and what treatment is needed.

Do You Want to Become a Caregiver?

The healthcare field is growing in demand and many schools provide certifications which only take a few weeks. E&S Academy provides training and employment opportunities after certification completion. You can take the first step to changing a life today.

Compassionate Care Comes in All Shapes and Sizes

Compassionate Care Comes in All Shapes and Sizes

It is not about the appearance of the heart, but the metaphorical size of the heart that makes an excellent caregiver.  Companions come in all shapes and sizes.  With care, there is no such thing as one type of care that fits all.  For this reason, our Home Health Aides are trained for various responsibilities.  Once they receive an individualized plan-of-care from our experienced Nurses and your care team, they can alleviate your family’s needs by providing the care your loved ones deserve.

We are specialized in training Home Health Aides.  Our home care agency is among the top in the state of New Jersey.  Home care agencies throughout the state contact us for our home health aides because they understand the value of our quality training.  If we are one of the top home care training facilities, wouldn’t be the smart option for your quality care needs?

You can receive quality home health aides who understand the importance of your loved one’s care.  Before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, find the right home health aide and stress less.  The family is what holidays are about.

A History of Heroes…Thank You Veterans

There is a historical respect that heroes deserve.  These are real heroes.  They are people who thought of the future. For generations, the United States of America has been a land of freedom and opportunity.  Despite the imperfections, our country may have, one undeniable truth remains the same.  There are heroes that have stepped forward to protect this wonderful nation.  Their sacrifices are an impossible gift we can never repay them.  We remember them.  We remember them through the good times and the dark times.

As I write this post today, I spread the care and joy that our veterans need. We want to thank you for your sacrifices.  At the E & S family, you are in our hearts and your minds forever.  Your legacies will carry on.
